I made my first meeting in 1967, in Dave Koch's garage. We were a loose knit bunch, only going for Sunday rides. I never dreamed the sport would grow to this level.
I've been driving the '35 Ford coupe since that time, the car is one of 7 cars in the country driven to all 36 Street Rod Nationals. We also have a '63 Ford Galaxie, wife's T-Bucket, '37 Ford sedan, very long term project, and a '48 ford 8N tractor.
My wife Sally is the NSRA state rep. Our daughter, Betsy, is married to a
Hartford fire fighter, Lt. Mike Demsey. We have two grandkids, Jack and Liam.
I was club Newsletter Editor from '73 to Dec. '95. Served as NESRO rep.
and committees. I recently volunteered for the NSRA Safety team. My
longest term club job has been club artist from the 70's to now, doing
swap meet flyers, and other events, whatever they need. When the Polish
Boy, calls for a job, I have to drop everything, and do it. Whatever is
cooking, the boys know I will help out. . The '35 has well over 200,000
miles, we're just getting started.
